Today we’re celebrating the women who shape our world, our work, and everything in between. As a female-founded and led company, International Women’s Day is a reminder of the power of women supporting women - and the impact of building, creating and showing up together.
We sat down with our team and asked them what International Women’s Day means to them — the women who inspire them, the challenges they’ve faced, and the advice they’d give their younger selves.
SHARNI: Trust the timing of your life. Have the courage to be uncomfortable, because life is inherently embarrassing and everything you want is on the other side of that feeling.
MIKAILA: Never burn bridges. You never know when paths might cross again!
OLIVIA: My friend always tells me that with the confidence of a man anything is possible lol. I think it’s so true though, the patriarchy has led women to question themselves more, to apologize more,and to think they’re less capable of doing things. Men never have this hesitation and yet often are just doing things unapologetically with blind confidence. As women we can do anything and look hot doing it <3
EVANGELINE: I’ve learned that confidence is the most powerful thing you can carry. It’s just the quiet certainty of knowing who you are and not shrinking to make other people comfortable. That ease changes how you walk into a room, how you speak, how you dress. It’s subtle, but it’s everything.
SAMI: How intuitive we are. I used to second guess it, now I trust it in business, creativity, everything.
MIKAILA: Just how powerful women are, balancing so much, yet still leading, creating, and making things happen.
SHARNI: The way my mind is wired to think deeply and the intuition that comes with it.
EMILY: Over time, I’ve really come to appreciate the intuition and natural sense of support that comes with being a woman. When I was younger, I didn’t fully understand what people meant by that, but now I see how powerful the instinct is: to check in, to uplift, and to genuinely want the people around you to succeed. There’s something really beautiful about that built-in empathy and connection.
KAYLA: The power of female friendship. I’ve learned how grounding it is to have women around me who understand my ambition, my doubts, and everything in between.
SAMI: Stop trying to shrink yourself to make situations feel more comfortable. Be confident in who you are.
EVANGELINE: I’d tell her that she doesn’t need to dilute herself to be accepted. The right rooms won’t require you to be smaller, softer, or less opinionated.
MIKAILA: You’re doing better than you think. Be kinder to yourself. Everything you’re meant to experience will come, and usually at exactly the right time.
OLIVIA: YOU WILL HAVE YOUR LIZZIE MCGUIRE MOMENT ONE DAY DW.
JULIANA: Everything you desire is possible. Don’t shrink your standards just because something is available.
EMILY: No one thinks about what you’re doing as much as you do. Everyone is busy trying to be their best self - they don’t have time to analyze the little things you might overthink. Put yourself out there, take the chance, and be kind to yourself when you know you have done your best.
KAYLA: There’s no timeline on life. You’re allowed to evolve, change direction, start over. Nothing is wasted if you’re learning from it.
SAMI: Creating something from an idea and seeing other women connect to it. That moment of “this was just in my head and now it’s real” is a powerful feeling.
MIKAILA: When I embrace my strengths, acknowledge my worth, and step into opportunities without fear.
SHARNI: Choosing myself and what aligns with me, making decisions that feel true and authentic to who I am.
EMILY: Being around other women makes me feel the most empowered. Especially a group of girls to lean on at work or even just a casual night out, I just feel so confident around my group of girls that I know would support me and anyone else around us.
CAMI: Moving my body, talking about my feelings and spending quality time with my best friends.
SAMI: Honestly, my best friends. Watching them evolve, take risks, and still lead with love motivates me more than anything.
MIKAILA: My mum. Also, badass women who are unapologetically themselves and following their passions, breaking boundaries, and encouraging others to do the same.
EMILY: My grandma inspires me the most. She’s completely selfless and always has to go above and beyond for the people she meets. She is so confident and unapologetically herself. She truly lives life to the fullest and builds the most genuine, meaningful connections with everyone she meets, and that’s something that I really admire.
OLIVIA: I’m sure everyone’s given this answer.. but def my mom. She’s the strongest woman I know, always goes out and gets what she wants, follows her passions, and is an incredible and selfless mother. She’s also happens to be a baddie and a really good dancer.
KAYLA: I don’t think inspiration comes from one person for me. Different women inspire me in different ways. It’s more of a collective influence than a single role model.
CAMI: My mom, my sister and my friends. All for different reasons.
SAMI: Their resilience. What we have all been through, together. The women who raised me are strong, the women I’m surrounded by are strong, and I’m stronger because of them.
EVANGELINE: I really admire how supportive and encouraging the women in my life are. We all genuinely want to see each other win. I also admire that they’re all bosses in their own right. Every conversation feels like I’m learning something. It’s inspiring being around women who are ambitious but still generous with their energy and knowledge.
SHARNI: I admire their resilience and softness at the same time, as well as the conversations and perspectives we share.
CAMI: How strong, smart and driven women are instinctively. They always bring a sense of calm and trust whenever I am around them.
JULIANA: I've been incredibly influenced by the women around me. They’ve been my mentors, my sounding board, and my accountability. A lot of who I am comes from what they’ve demonstrated. I admire that women carry pieces of one another: lessons, resilience, ambition. There’s something powerful about that shared thread.
MIKAILA: That they continually show up for themselves each day, no matter the challenges.
EMILY: I admire the way the women in my life show up for the people they love. They’re driven, supportive, and somehow balance their ambition within themselves but still make time to make you feel so special when you need it the most.
