Inspired by our recent travels to the Maldives on an island no bigger than 150m x 300m we found beauty in everything. We were so impressed by the marine life and in particular their colours, prints and patterns that brought so much colour and life to the ocean. After a morning snorkel we quickly decided we could take this inspiration to create something new.
Doing absolutely nothing and having nowhere else to go.
It was our first holiday post covid, we wanted to be somewhere tropical where we were secluded and had time to relax and work (Evangeline and Sami live in different countries). Our usual working holiday is on the go and this just felt like the right place to be at the right time.
Funny story. It took us a minute to dive in as the Maldives water is filled with sharks, however, we got there eventually. We were amazed by the fish, so much so we had to come up to just tell eachother every few minutes "did you see that one with the crazy blue stripes", "omg that one looks like it's a Jean Paul Gaultier fish", "That's the coolest fish I've ever seen in my life"... the list goes on. We headed in and looked at each other and said "We should be inspired by this and make some new prints from them". We ran to the only shop on the island where they sold underwater housings for your phone and went back out to snap them all up.
You can find inspiration everywhere, it is crazy how much has inspired us on our travels.
E: Sunset unless I am suffering from jet lag and naturally wake up before the sun, in which case I always appreciate a sunrise more than a sunset.
S: We saw a lot of sunrises but I have to say the sunsets were better.

S: Daiquiri - Mango.
E: Beach, always, every time, no matter what.
S: Beach, never pool.
E: We’re going spf 50 on the face and tanning oil everywhere else.
S: I’m with Ange.
E: Barefoot baby.
S: Ange didn’t wear shoes once this whole trip but I went 50/50.
E: Bit of both but don’t put me on a schedule.
S: I love a schedule, see that’s why we’re so well balanced. Activities.
